starter motor

when turning ignition to start rover 200,it sometimes just clicks is it the starter motor( new one fitted 2month ago, cuold be a faulty one ,)or starter relay at fault,and where is starter relay situated,

Sounds more like the battery hasn't got enough oooomph to turn the engien over, just enough to engage the solenoid/relay and no more.  Blag a friend with jump leads and try again, if same result then you do have faulty components/units.
check ur connection to ur starter motor, it might be corroded

does it do this every time?if so its you starte solonoid

if not you may have a couple of worn teeth on your flywheel
