Why Wont My Renault Clio 1.4 16V Start??

Can anyone help me please i was driving the over day and my car just cut out?? tryed starting it again and it started and stopped straight away (this happened twice) its turning over just wont start? please anyone got any ideas??? Thanks in advance

oh i dont know sorry i know your only tryin to help, im gettin confused, i int got a clue about cars hence asking, i will check the timing belt tomorrow see if thats the course

Good luck, it may not be the timing belt, but do check all the earth leads from the car body to the engine and gearbox first and look for any leads that may have come of or loose, start with the simpler stuff first. You never know could be something simple like that.
