19Month Old Bug Or Cow Allergy

hi.. on sat my 18month old went to her xmas party at nursery and by 5pm she was sick, gave her a bottle before bed she was sick again, put her to bed sick 3 times in 1 go an hour later... sunday, sick on morning bottle few minutes after finishing it, gave her no food that day and sick again on bedtime bottle, both days she was happy laughing playing with toys, then on Monday morning bottle sick, and this time slept all day not her usual self at all, Tuesday slept most of the day, had some cheerios dry kept them down, sick again just on morning bottle and today back to her normal self playing laughing but sick on morning bottle had a toddler meal at dinner kept it down... rang 111 on sunday they said its a bug, rang docs on Monday they said its a bug,.... im thinking yes maybe a bug on the days she wasn't herself but now im thinking more cows allergy, what do I do or any thoughts please

Try some soya milk and see if she reacts to that

And keep her fluids up with water or diluted juices...

I`m not sure she would sleep all day of it was lactose intolerance. It could well be a bug.

I was thinking to try the soya milk, can you get it in big bottles where the cows milk is or is it in cartons

I did send her to nursery on Monday morn as they thought it could just be a cows allergy but they sent her home few hours later as they said she threw up 3-4 times just after a drink of juice

sqad I asked the health vistitor about her still having a bottle and she ssaid it was fine because she uses a sippy cup for all her water throughout the day, should she not be on milk anymore?

sqad... should I not give her the milk in the morning and just let her have water?, when should I give her the milk back as today she seemed back to her normal self

She should be on milk, just not a bottle. I would try a lactose -free milk and see if that helps.

country.......i am not an expert on babies......particularly modern babies, but all our kids were certainly off the bottle well before 19 months and on to solids.

If she is gaining weight and her bowels are normal with no crying after eating, then i shouldn't be too concerned.

A small bedtime bottle is fine for comfort, drop the morning one and incorporate milk into her breakfast.

Sounds like a bug rather than an allergy or intolerance.

at nursery she has milk with fruit at snack time twice a day and juice with breakfast at nursery, how much should she be having of milk as she normally has a40ml on both bottles sometime she will drink more

My youngest is ten, but it was a pint- 40ml a day up to 5 years old. How long has she been on cow's milk and not formula?

It's been 4 days then. I think it's worth trying a different milk, as that should tell you very quickly.

when she had the nuro virus earlier this year she had it for 7days
