Parking In London
17 Answers
Hi there, we do trips to London quite a lot but never overnight. We are on Sunday; just wondering if anyone has any tips on where I could put my car. I am prepared to do the usual of driving to High Barnet and getting the underground but obviously parking will be more difficult; should I risk finding a side street and leaving it there. It's quite a safe place but just not sure I will find a place. Otherwise drive into town but parking will be really costly I imagine....any ideas greatfully received thankyou!

I come from a mixed family, mostly Red, but rarely fall out.
Left Liverpool in 1964 but still return regularly, to Goodison of course!
Enjoy your trip to London and hope you're able to sort out some reasonable parking.
Actually, plenty of parking at Cockfsters, and not overly expensive, particularly at the weekend. Buy yourself an Oyster card, the travel is cheaper and you can always use it on your next visit too.

there's no congestion charge on Saturday and Sunday or between December 25 and January 1 (inclusive)

Aw toffee you can't offend me! I don't really like the rivalry up there either it's silly really isn't it? I was born up there near Bootle but have been down here most of my life...love going back..to Anfield of course. I considered Cockfosters once or twice I wonder what it's like for overnight parking though? And if I do get a space at brick lane I don't suppose there will be a Sunday congestion charge??

There is street parking in the streets behind the Old Street Travelodge. Last time I used it there was plenty of space and it wasn't normal stupid London prices. Only thing to watch is that Borough boundaries sometimes run down the middle of the street so the parking restrictions are different on either side of the same stareet.
