i took up your advice and sold my bmw e46... any advice on should i import a bmw m3 or should i just buy from my own country.. ireland. the only off putting thing on b uying cars from the uk would be the high use of salt on the roads resulting in under-body rust unless the car is maintained

and of course it's one of the *most* stolen cars so you need to make sure
a) it's not stolen when you buy it and
b) its not stolen after you buy it.
That's not to mention the insurance!
Given that BMWs are 12 year anti-perforation rust guarantees I think you're worrying about the wrong things!

Bloody hell tops, I and Tony thought you had emigrated lol, nice to see your back on here, regards the M3, A cracking car, what I'm about to say is not a sermon but advice, If you intend to bye one, bye fro the UK, With respect Tops, get someone that knows a bit about cars, the car needs to be with some sort of History, Service Record, Radio Code, Tracker Info, Check the Boot lines, Door Lines, Bonnet lines, by that I mean, are they even? check all the Electrics, Upholstery Cond, Tyes, Use a Torch to check the Pads, Check that the Elect Windows go up and down without GROWLING? If Growling the Spline in the Motor Mech Is U/s, but can be sorted ( I done mine) check any scratches on the Windcsreen especialy in your view, Cracked Headlight Glass, Clutch Travel, If it's up to the top, new clutch needed, Remember Tops, these cars are a car that gets PUSHED by the owner, also check the tyres + spare, check the Wheel Wall for damage, if damaged, It may be out of track, that will indicate on the inside / outside tyre wall, Bounce the car on each corner, Get under the car, look at the Shocks on a "DRY DAY" Is the Shocker Tube dry! does it show signs of OIL! If so, new shocker needed, check the shocker springs, are they cracked? Inside the car, check the carpets, are they DRY? Wet carpets could mean, window seals, has the car been in a bump?????, check the History of the car Tops, if it cost you a Tenner It's worth it, lastly, do not let your eyes rule your head, never trust any seller, make your own judgement, but as said, if you are not well up on the cars, instead of the car costing you a fourtune like the E46 did, get some one tpo check it for you, I do not like people getting ripped off, that's the way I am I'm affraid, good luck.
Only joking tops......go for it son...I picked up an F10 M5 before Christmas and its just had its 1200 mile break in service...so I can push it as much as I dare. The car is like a fighter jet on 4 wheels....it costs a bit more on fuel and the first years rfl was £840 but you get a German Ferrari for less than half the money. If money allows go for the E90M3 with the DCT gearbox...the older SMG boxes were a bit clumsy. The DCT is as fitted to the Fezzi 458 and California made by Getrag......and they are awesome.
