I have had to have a new battery fitted today, and the code with the manual is incorrect. I have the serial number which is V298392, but am having difficulty finding a resolution in the Internet. Could anyone assist at all? Thanks!

Hi there: One for your friendly Ford dealer to sort out ... workshop foreman (if there is such a thing today) should know the procedure if the car battery has been disconnected and won't 're-connect' the radio ...
We aren't allowed to give radio codes out on here
try ebay!!
The only sure-fire way of getting the correct code is to go to a Ford main dealer, who can get it directly from Ford. (That, of course, assumes that it's the original radio. If a third party replacement has been fitted Ford obviously won't know the code for it). When I worked for such a dealer, a few years ago, they charged £15.

However this online service has a good reputation and is likely to be cheaper:

A bit late of an answer but, quite often the code is felt penned on the back of the unit if you can remove it. I've come across this many times. Worth a try!

This is a detailed video tutorial about how to unlock your ford car stereo and how to enter code into it, enjoy :)
