central locking failure

Since changing the battery on my 98 Fiesta diesel, the central locking doesn't work. The doors can only be locked/unlocked individually with the key. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

...check the relevant fuse......In my Punto I used to take out the fuse to get the manual locking that you don't like...........just a thought.........
