I have a knocking noise coming from the front near-side of the car, most noticable over rough ground at slow speed. I am sure it could be many things, but can anyone suggest any common causes for this? Thanks.

As a first step check that none of your wheel nuyts are losse. I had a similar noise on an old Fiesta, called the AA and was towed ten miles to a garage, thinking a driveshaft had gone only to be told that the wheel nuts needed tightening !

as you siad it could be many things.

Check front dampers, bushes, driveshaft, engine mounts and for small children camping in there.

One of the most likely things is the anti-roll bar bushes, they only cost a few quid but they can be akward to fit due to the tight location.
