Focus Strange Noise?

hi all been a while since ive been on...my partner has a 2002 ford focus 1.4 petrol....the car drives perfect,no smoking or anything everything feels fine except on idle there is a strange noise coming from what seems to be the air intake pipe...its like a gurgling kettle boiling sort of sound rumbling inside the pipe...the car never uses any water never over heats its very odd...any suggestions?

Daughter's Ka made a similar noise a few weeks ago. Turned out to be the power steering pump due to low fluid level.

checked power steering fluid its fine

Check the Pipe Connections, does the heater EVER go HOT / COLD / HOT / COLD? If so, air lock in the system.
