I have a Toyota Corolla 1332CC. The ECU is not working. The crank position senor has been changed and it still does not work. Can it be exchanged for another ECU from another vehicle?

Regards your latest post, If you look on the Web for Toyota Breakers in your area they should come up with a few Scrap yards etc, what is the cars problems apart from what you have posted? Have you tried what I posted?
I used the following last year to sort out a failed ecu on a Citroen C2
http://www.cartechelectronics.com/

Have the car tested on the diagnostics to prove the ecu is at fault. You could then have it tested to see if it can be repaired. If it's beyond repair then make a note of all the serial numbers/part numbers on your ecu to ensure that you order the right part. The firm I used transferred all the data on my ecu onto a working second hand unit and it worked perfectly. It took about 5 days from posting it off to getting the replacement. Oh and I have absolutely no connection with this firm but they did a good job for me.
