Be honest, depending where you are traveling to & you know roughly how long the journey takes, either by GOOGLR information or the likes, do you say I can afford to go at this time because it takes !!!!!!!! time to get there or do you allow for hold ups etc?

All I can on that subject TWR is I wished I'd have known about the delays on the M5 last Friday, I think I'd have used a route to bypass Bristol.

On a ling journey I use google maps and then add a bit for hold ups. Mr M adds way too much and we always end up arriving too early an hanging around. Better that way round he always says, but it does drive me mad and tire me out having to hang about places.

On local journey and when I'm on my own I invariably cut it a bit fine. although I had every intention of leaving an extra few minutes I have usually looked on here or checked just one more website before setting off!

A little story Tony, 30 years back a HGV Driver was stopping a Walsal Lorry park, he set off late the GHV then did not have a limiter, get forward North bound nr the M58 Skem lancs, Mini Bus had broken down on the hard shoulder with passengers on board, result, no more Mini Bus, passengers killed, why? HGV Driver Tiered, tried to make time up, have I need to say anymore?

TWR that is just one example and obviously some people rush and flap when they are late (I don't), similarly accidents are caused by codgers poodling along at 35 in the slow lane with hours to spare.

No TWR, be fair. You asked a question but only wanted to hear one answer. Those who admit to leaving at the last minute have also admitted to being late for their appointments, not to driving dangerously to get there on time.

Firstly you asked us to be honest so I was. And leaving at the last minute is not what I do, I just don't time in hold-ups. Plus we are grown-ups, if I was leaving for a flight I'd leave in plenty of time, if it was for work then feck it, I'm on flexi.
