Thanks for your help, today I had the same problem after about 12 miles, I then removed one coil for about 15 mins to cool down, re- connected the ignition lead and strapped the complete unit to the cross member, car started ok without any noise or loss of power. Went for a twenty mile run without any problems, i'll buy a coil and pray that's it.
