Has Peugeot put out recent recalls for the 308? I have been told there is an Engine Problem, I've had a look but can not find any info.

I believe Vauxhall have a recall on the go for some of their 'cheap and cheerful' models, but, hey who cares!

Lol been on that site Tony, no joy, a friend has a 308 & the engine has just been replaced to a Lower Engine Bearing problem, I have just bought a 2007 hdi 1600.

Good Morning Sherrardk, yes, I did look on that site, I should think if there was a serious recall it would have been on the TV, thanks to you all.

unless its a safety issue it doesnt usually come up as recall, in the GM world its called 'customer satisfaction programme' , customers are not contacted, it only flags up when the vehicle is in a dealer with the particular problem, then it gets repaired under warranty.
We deal with a range of vehicles that has a timing chain issue, although all vehicles are affected they wont get repaired unless the chains become noisy or the engine runs poorly due to timing.
