So when it comes to car spare keys - is there any reason not to purchase a 'used' one , as in fob+transponder not brand new .

Used - Flip key + remote control- £ 65

New - Flip key + remote control - £ 120

If it's second hand it will have to be programmed to your car, I'd check out how much that will cost if I were you, Bazile.
Question Author
The prices are inclusive of programming
Ah, in that case a used one should be ok at almost half price.
Question Author
The guy said the used one came with a warranty - i cant remember if he said one or two month .

Would either a one or two months warranty be reasonable ?
Question Author
sorry - that should be two or three months warranty
Sounds pretty reasonable to me, Bazile.
Question Author
which , one or two - or two or three ?

fgs
Two or three is better.
Question Author
indeed tony - i wasn't sure if you had seen my post of 17:18 before your response of 17:19.
thanks
You take a risk as you see fit. Ask for a few years warranty. Blowed if I'd want a £65 key fob to fail and lock me out of my car after 90 days !
