WAITROSE!! Honestly what is the world coming too?

I politely pointed out to him that he was going the wrong way up a one way parking lane. If I hadn't braked quickly he would have hit me and he was in a massive old 4X4. Bet he wouldn't have sworn if I had been a big bloke like him. Ignorant pig, I'm still cross that he was so rude to me.

No question, just a rant.

I know , I always think that when people are unpleasant , I think what would your mother say about the way you are behaving!

Oh and I forgot about the coffee Baldric. Went to get mine and was asked for my Waitrose Card. Fine, handed it over, chap asked have you had one already today. I said No, he said well your card reads that you have. But I hadn't and he said that's OK I believe you. Don't understand how that could happen.

Grasscarp - Good, I hope it got worse.
I live in a deprived area of the country, so no Waitrose. We survive on Netto and Poundland. Do Waitrose give free coffee to their customers? It would have to be a free glass of White Lightning to tempt the folks round here.
Lot of bother for a free coffee, if you ask me.
your still cross ?
I feel sure he would have said the same if you'd been a bloke.
But you didn't tell us if you complied and effed off !
At the 'Little Waitrose' in Ipswich town centre, people just go in and help themself to a takeaway coffee from the machine and nod towards the checkouts, without ever showing a card (which many of them probably haven't got anyway). They simply get a nod back, with nobody ever asking to see a card.

Yes they do Blackadder and a free newspaper every day (choice of broadsheets and tabloids).
Never had any bother until today Svejk but then I've never been asked for my card before but due to people taking the p and helping themselves to more than the one allowed, you now have to have your card swiped. I think that's fair enough, there's always some have to spoil it for the rest.
How rude! I bet he wasn't even going to shop in Waitrose :-)
People have no manners never mind at Keats your not the poor soil stuck married to him!
Free coffee AND a free copy of the Daily Mail. Such bliss I can only dream of!

I thought so too Prudie. I'm not used to being spoken to like that.
And OG I WAS on my way when he said it.
Anne I haven't been simmering all afternoon about it - just remembered again now and thought I'd share it with you all:-)
If Waitrose are giving free coffee and newspapers who is paying for it? Must be the mugs who shop there with the over inflated pricing.
Are you always completely certain exactly where you are, and where you are going? Have you never been one of those 'infuriating fools' slowing down traffic looking for a house number, or uncertain about directions in a car park?
Question Author
Jaidyn, you're right, poor woman stuck with him. I hope he's not like that at home. I wonder how he would feel if someone spoke to his mother like that.
never shop on a Saturday if possible :) ( all the rude men are out )
I. am sure I jave been one of those 'infuriating fools' ....but I don't tell people to eff off when they point it out to me....usually I apologise.
