crank angle sensor

my wife has got a corsa 1.0 she broke down in yesterday. she said the car was driving perfect then the ecu light came on and the engine just cut out. the car would not start up straight away but it would start after about 10 minutes. The rac breakdown man said it was the crank angle sensor i just wondered if any one else had encounted this problem. thanks in advance

Yes, I am a mechanic and have had to replace a few of these.

Yeah thanks mate i have had an auto electrician out to fit one and it seems fine now.
