bought ds3 2 yrs ago its a late 2011 model, paid £12.000 for it. now i dont like it, bought it on impluslse because wifey loved it but i do not, feels rattly and cheapish where as you get into an audi, insignia, merc and it feels solid and when driving feels comfortable and quiet.

ok ds3 is nice looking allthough i hate the colour ( red and black, man utd colours lol ) its easy on fuel its a diesel. it is tax free for life. cheapish insurance.

but i like the insignia, if i do go for 1 i will buy a diesel . but i feel i will lose far too much money on a trade in for my ds3 against an insignia.

what would you do ?

sorry car now would be near 4 years old. and ready for mot,s in year
I'd use winter screenwash and save my money.
If car is late 2011 it should have had an MoT by now.
Should have said - but it won't pass with the washers frozen.
I know somebody with a Vauxhall Insignia...the dealers' workshop has had it more than he has!
Is it a brand new Insignia you have in mind ?.

Why anyone would desire an insignia is beyond me but hey-ho.
Zacs - I would love to know what you think is wrong with the insignia.
I never said there was anything wrong with them, It's just that there's so many about. I prefer a more individual drive.
ta - just interested because their reputation whether deserved or not makes for a value for money used car.
I have been advised to leave the early ones alone 09's though because of build problems.
Generally speaking, the DS3 gets quite good road test reports. Could it just be down to your particular model perhaps that might have ultra-low profile tyres and the associated reduction in ride quality, making it a lot more bumpy and noisy?
Insignia will depreciate quicker than a DS3.

manta that maybe true, zac your just plain negitive in 90% of your posts on ab so i never listen to anything you got to say anyway. i guess selling it for £8000 or around that then no one will have that kind of cash so i would need to sell to a dealer ?
How have you drawn that curious conclusion?
Market trend ecclescake, most larger saloons depreciate quicker in the first, say, 5 years, than the more popular runabout type vehicles.
