i had a post about this a while ago. i now know 100% i was correct with brake system. it has slightly improved the emissions light is now gone so misfire is no longer bad enough for that. does anyone know how long it would take to completely dry out the brake booster system as in where the fluid shouldn't be. or would i be best removing and flooding out the system. with water. the method is fine as you can evaporate water very quickly. but i'm not sure if i should wait it out

I think you should get a good garage to help you.

Putting water in a braking system doesn't sound a good idea to me.

Have you been on the POP Top? Brake Fluid & only Brake fluid should be in the Braking System, what made you put Water in the Master Cylinder? this has no connection with your Emissions, the misfire will be caused by a Plug / Lead / The lead top in the case of your BMW, when you removed the Plastic cover to check your plugs, did you inspect? A U/S Valve / *** in the Fuel system / Plug Gaps Did you tighten the Earth Leads that go to your Lead connectors? ( Did you check them? )
Have you had a leaky brake master cylinder, top driver ?. You use the term brake booster do you mean brake servo unit ? and do you mean removing the brake servo and washing it out with water ?.
