Just bought this second hand, the yellow engine warning light came on 3 days after buying. I have done the Dash Trick (Trip reset + ignition) to get to the DTC codes but it is showing "NONE". Will using one of those ODB2 boxes show any codes that the Onboard test couldn't? Thank you!

Most independent garages have code readers these days. Halfords will probably do it. A common fault with the focus is the coil pack. About £40-50 and an easy job to do if that's what it turns out to be.
Did you buy it as seen? was it bought from a dealer? was is bought off the side of the road? If from a Franchise Dealer contact them regards a complaint & let them sort it out, if from a "side of the roader" not much chance. this could be a number of things, Coolant Low / check the obvious Barney, Lights all / Stop Lights / Coolant / Engine oil / Air Filter.

THANKS GUYS..... BOUGHT FROM A DEALER SO THEY CAN SORT IT OUT , WAS CURIOUS WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE... BUT WHILE ITS IN WARRANTY THEY CAN DEAL WITH IT :) THANKS FOR RESPONDING
Mine came on today, turned out to be Particulate Filter, dropped two 400ml of Forte DPF in the fuel tank, take the car for a hard / Rev run, job sorted.
To add, just log it down and ask if this will Restart the Warrantee.
