What cars would you consider luxurious but not necessarily in the prestige car price bracket? By luxurious, in this context I refer to a car that is comfortable, has a good ride quality, and low interior noise, and has a nice quality "feel" to it. I'm not bothered about the bells and whistles as such, purely the dynamic qualities of the car. A car you might sum up as being smooth and quiet perhaps. Any suggestions?
OH has an XJ6 and that is an incredibly smooth comfortable ride with quality feel., all leather and walnut. Only negative is it's a bit of an old man's car which he is not :-)
Thanks for the feedback all. Looking at the prices of older "luxury" cars they actually appear remarkably good value secondhand once a large chunk of depreciation has taken place. Look at the Bentley Turbo R for example, readily available at around £9k in excellent condition, though not suitable for everyday use admittedly! Must admit the Jag's appeal though...
Have just road tested a 2007 supercharged Jaguar XJ V8. Must be the smoothest, quickest, quietest, and most comfortable car available for under 10 grand...and the engine has a gorgeous purr to it when pushed.
Hi Tilly - I'm glad you like your Meriva, wish I had a heated steering wheel. I've got aVauxhall Mokka and am very pleased with it. I can climb up into it instead of falling down into it- must be an age thing x
