I need new wiper blades on the front, Bosch cost a tenner a pair, bona fide Vauxhall wipers are £40 a pair, would fitting the Bosch invalidate the lifetime warranty.

If you returned your Insignia to Vauxhall with a burnt out screen wiper motor/s...then probably... yes.
However... if you keep the originals, and put them back on the car after the damage was done.........Who's to know?
Not that I would suggest such trickery.
Just make sure that the Bosch ones have the correct fittings for your car.
And if they don't.... this scenario will never happen!
Apart from the OP being a tenner out of pocket. ;-)
I'm surprised that Bosch are so cheap. Many cars now have "aero" wiper blades, (built-in spoiler) which have a completely different fitting from the old type. Bosch will probably still be cheaper than Vauxhall but make sure you're buying the correct sort.
Incidentally, I used Bosch blades to replace my Volvo blades at first change. After about 3 months they weren't cleaning properly, so I complained and they were replaced free-of-charge. They also didn't last long, so I went for some Valeo ones from here:
http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/
They didn't last as long as the original Volvo ones but cost less than half of the £50 Volvo wanted.
the warranty will only apply to certain things anyway, wipers etc are considered consumables so you should be fine. Bosch probably make the vauxhal ones anyway. I'm curious how this lifetime warrenty works, you mean they'll pay for repairs forever?
100,000 mile limit and has to have been bought from an official Vauxhall dealer.
