Static Caravan, Things To Know Before Buying, Need Advice Please
14 Answers
was thinking of buying a static to live in more than anything else, i am looking for an all year round site in uk possibly south or east coast ( anyone got a link )
what are the pitfalls of buying a static / mobile home , damp etc ?
i am going to have to go to uk for work in london and south coast areas so a caravan is going to work out cheaper than for me to stay here in my apartment costing £5,500 per year.
advice needed thanks

Most sites compel you to buy from them, and sell to them when you want to move on. They get the financial advantage both ways. Some sites have a maximum age limit on the caravans on their site so after, say, 10 years you will have to trade in your "worthless" caravan for a new one at their prices. Check the small print, then check the smaller print. Buyer beware.

Just checked our local park home prices... close to the coast in West Sussex. They seem to charge £950 plus pw in July/Aug.
Funnily enough I was talking to someone earlier today who is selling his 2 bed park home, it's nothing special, but still £150.000.
You will struggle to buy a decent beach hut here for under £15,000
