Is it correct to say that the shape of the BMW's across the range has not changed drastically over the years .

The boot Opening Tony, Width ( Ok) Depth (Ok) from the top Hinge to the Lock Centre, very narrow for a large case, we went to Man Airport last year, I case in the boot, one on the back seat, the two cases would not sit side by side or on top of each other.

IMO...the BMW 530gt is one of the best to come out of BMW..its not the prettiest from the back end, but it's got the luxury and interior space of the 7 series without the pipe and slippers appeal.At the moment I'm having to put up with 19 mpg from the M5...:-)

'Best car' really depends on it's qualities versus YOUR needs. Like a lot of ABers I have had many cars over the last fifty years and there have been some great ones amongst them. However, for me and my needs it has to be the Jaguar S type 2.5 automatic. A very, very good car.

I note a number of correspondents are in favour of various BMWs so I guess they don't have snow down their way. I watched the rear wheel drive BMWs, Mondeos blocking the motorways last time we had serious snow while I managed to sail by in my fwd Audi. I watched a colleague at work having to push his BMW into a parking space.
