Purchasing Road Tax For A Car

Hi folks, I wonder if you can help. Now that the government have done away with the paper tax discs, does that mean that you can purchase your car tax online? And also - if you are selling a car to someone, does the purchaser have to tax the car from the moment of exchange or can the purchaser wait to tax the car until such time as they are able to collect the car from the purchaser? Hope that makes sense ....

You could purchase it on-line before they opted not to provide paper discs.

yes you can purchase it on line , and the purchaser has to tax it from the moment of exchange other wise you have to sorn it
