Front Bushings On Ford Ka
5 Answers
Hi, will try to keep this short.
Last week daughters KA (03 reg) was a bit irratic when she turned left, and steering wheel control was difficult. Had it towed to my local garage, turns out front passenger tyre was bald BUT not on outer tyre where you can see it, it was from the inner side of the tyre. They gave this as reason for car veering to left, and changed tyre and tracked all wheels.
She has sensed since driving that it doesn't 'feel' right... Took it back to garage, and they put it on ramp and said, yes, the bushings at front are worn. (I'm not technical so excuse wordings)
Now, they've ordered replacements for tomorrow HOPEFULLY, but my concerns are... Is it safe for her to drive til then? In anyone on here's experience?
And, is it a big job? Expensive?
I'm a bit peeeed off that they changed tyre without checking why it was worn from inside to be honest!
Sorry for lengthy Question
Any advice appreciated.

It is not to big a job to change them, although it is easier just to change the track control arm than it is to change the rubber bushes.
How expensive the job will be depends on where she has the job done ie a Ford main dealership will be more expensive than an independent garage.
Here is a picture of a track control arm.
