mate of mine has mistakenly put unleaded into her diesel 4x4 (a Honda), and then driven it a short distance before realising. Can't get it dealt with til tomorrow as it's a Bank Holiday. How much is it likely to cost her to have it put right?

Our garage - Tesco - has a contact number for someone who can put it right - may be worth checking at your garage and give them a ring

Some insurance policies cover this , worth looking.
my husband did the same mistake, phoned AA,was told charge for fuel mistake is 160 quid. then phoned a mechanic pal who emptied the petrol to my car :) and he paid 90 quid for the job
Depending how much fuel that's been put in the car, It will do little harm & will burn off, but how much was "put in" before she realised.
