Anyone know how to remove inside passenger door trim so that the lock mechanism is accessible?
Would the whole trim have to be removed or partially.

You need to remove the door card, it involves, the Button at the top, the arm rest, there should be torx / Philips screws somewhere around the trim, you will find when you remove the card the plastic retaining clips will snap, buy some before you do the job ( Not Expensive, ebay) behind the door card there will be a protective sheet of clear, life that up you will then see the connecting rods that go to the lock, they are held in place by plastic clips.
To add, before you start the task of removing the latch, fire WD40 In the locking area & at the same time, try the movement of the latch, it could only be a simple thing like one of the connecting rods has dropped out of the clip.
