The Dacia Duster is built in India and there have been problems with rust on new cars. The other models are made in Romania and are OK. I've read on owners' forums that after-market soundproofing applied to the underside of the bonnet and the boot floor of the Sandero and Sandero Stepway improve sound levels considerably.
I'm looking at an ad. (not an actual car) for a new Logan MCV . 5 doors, 573 litres of boot space, basic price, under 7 grand. The fully loaded version 'Ambience, 1.2, 16v 75 . Combined fuel range; 49 to 74 mpg. is still only £8,290, which seems remarkable, and cheap as chips.
I've had lots of Jaguars and Mercs etc. now as I age I'm no longer concerned with 'image', though in fact it looks rather good, I must say.

Pointless replacing your car if you're happy with it, Khandro.
I think the larger Dacia cars are ideal for driving your large, hairy hounds into muddy places for their daily run. Plenty of room and you're not going to cry over the upholstery. With the 5 year warranty it would pay to keep it till it stops and then buy another.
