I live in a very rural area with winding lanes & because there are. Few pavements I have to ride my mobility scooter on the roads. Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a tractor type flashing hazard light to the scooter to warn approaching traffic that I am ahead ?

rather that the tractor type(usually revolving) lights you'd be better off with flashing led type like you see on bt or water board vans as they may work on a lower voltage and will certainly use less battery than revolving lights
Have a look in your local cycle shops, there are plenty of bright rear lamps available these days. They can be set to flash, sequence, or remain in the static on position. Fitting a tractor type one will drain your battery very quickly.
Would cycle lights be any use. I have a white & red light that flashes quickly and slowly or static. Have never put in batteries so not really sure how they work as they were from the £ shop. Very effective.

Thanks for your prompt answers guys. Further to my question what is my legal position when using country lanes that do not have pedestrian pavements ?
