Dash Cams
Looking to replace both of mine, currently cheap ones imported from China. Do the job amazingly well but after one that GPS to log this on the video screen and to roughly calculate the speed of the vehicle and record this in the video as well.
My current dash cams only record a perfect picture and include a date & time stamp.

Mine is the predecessor to this. I've had it for over 2 years and would happily buy the same one again (thinking about it for a rear view).
There is a whole suite of them with/without GPS, with/without built-in memory etc. Built-in memory is unnecessary if you're going to use SD cards.

You don't need one until you need one, Islay. Not until the person in front of you reverses into you and claims you ran into the back of them. I bought mine after 2 incidents. One where a teenager suddenly ran into the road in front of me in Germany; I stopped but might not have but would have been able to prove I was within the speed limit etc. The second where the police in Austria pulled me in accusing me of knocking a moped rider off and not stopping; I was able to convince them that I'd seen the rider sitting by the roadside as I passed but still suffered an hour's delay.
