Motorpoint Guarantee
If you buy a car from Motorpoint but don't pay for their extended guarantee, do they guarantee anything at all?
Answers
Where relevant, you get 'the balance of the manufacturer 's warranty' but Motorpoint doesn't offer any specific guarantee: http://www.m otorpoint.co .uk/termsand conditions However the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still applies: http:// www. theaa. com/ motoring_ advice/ car- buyers- guide/ cbg_ legalrights. html

Why go to Motorpoint in the first place ? They call themselves car supermarkets, which is meaningless....they are just second-hand car dealers!
My recommendation would be to choose the model you like and then go to a main Dealer and buy a low mileage car from them. They will have plenty on offer, as more and more people change their car every 3 years.

I'm not about to buy a car, as my elderly one is still starting and running well.
However I constantly play a game with myself about what I would do if I replaced my car - what to buy and where from.
That way if the old girl does become unreliable I have a plan in place.
Motorpoint appears to have newer cars than the other 'supermarkets'. Mostly ex lease cars I think.
I was surprised that TWR talked about one with an MOT, as they only sell cars under three years old.
Their prices appear to be very good compared with main stealers, sorry, dealers.
However if you aren't getting a guarantee, or have to pay £300 to get one, then maybe they aren't so good.
