How different would the UK be if we didnt have (or stop funding) our royal family?
Ive NEVER understood how giving millions of pounds a year to an already wealthy family is 'good' for Britain.
Ive just walked home through a dissused bus station where there are people sleeping in boxes and make shift tents.
The disparity is painful.

Abolishing the monarchy will not cause the homeless to suddenly disappear into centrally heated homes...
Do you really think the replacement wouldn't take even more of our money.
....and, of course, all those countries without a monarchy don't have homeless/destitute etc., do they?
It's hugely unfair, and more should be done to help the homeless, but as others have said abolishing the monarchy isn't the answer.
President Blair and his First Lady would !
Would what, Retrocop?
I've just checked, the taxpayer gives about 56p a year to the monarchy so I can't see that helping the homeless much.

Times that by a few million (the population) and it might start to make sense

And who said it would?

This country gives millions to an already rich family,
How is this just?
It's the rate for the job. Would you work for nothing, no matter how much cash you had in the bank?
I assumed that there was some connection between your two statements.
If we abolish the monarchy and do nothing for the homeless, then what has been achieved, in real terms?

Forget my (or anybody elses) assumptions then Jack and tell me that we are justified by giving millions of pounds a year to an already rich family while people sleep in cardboard boxes.
Look at the French or Americans, both Presidencies and probably even more homeless.....not sure of your logic?

Can you tell me how to apply for such a job?
Or are you just been a tit?
You could argue the same about giving millions of pounds to foreign scroungers.

unless you want a communist society where everyone is equal, more or less - if so, let me go back to my meths and chill out.
