Sticky Feeling?

Strange question. I get sticky feeling on the steering wheel. Whilst driving. Had it on my old car vinyl covering and now on the new car leather.
I regularly lightly clean the wheel with plain warm water to minimise effect and I keep my hands clean, but it returns after a few days. So I assume it's natural oil from my hands. Tried talc before but that only delayed the onset, and seemed to make it worse.

My wife uses a bit of Flash Clean & Shine in warm water to remove the sticky from our steering wheel (leather). On holiday, with no Flash available, she uses kitchen wipes (the moist sort).
Stay with your warm water but use some hand washing soap on the cloth, then clear water and dry it off.
