You can't see the difference in the two cases?
In the second and terrible case, I don't understand why the biological Dad and the Godmother didn't do more when they knew she was suffering and AGAIN Social Services failed this little mite !!
neglect surely?
Simply can't believe the first mother got away with what she did ....
No....me neither but it's not quite the same as stamping on your toddler.
Another 2 babies dead due to unfit parenting. Remove these children from their homes and find safe homes for them. Then they may have a future.
Terrible stories. The authorities have been saying "lessons must be learned to prevent this happening again" for decades, but nothing happens. How many more poor little mites are suffering at the hands of their parents? So tragic in both cases.
The parents should be surgically prevented from ever having kids.

Of course I can, I am not comparing the two, only entered the other one, to open up the debate on such matters.

How is it that you seem to be the only one who seems to be having trouble understanding?
I completely understand.

One got drunk and unintentionally killed her child. The other displayed extreme child cruelty and extreme brutality.

The former has had her children returned to her and I assume social services will be on the case.

If the cases were pretty much the same I'd understand why you linked the two....but they aren't.
Ummmm, the mother in the first item was a habitual drunk and neglectful mother. Ok, she didn't stamp on her child's chest, like the other mother did, but they are both appalling - understatement- mothers.

Of course I can, I am not comparing the two, (AOG)

when by juxta posing them, AOG is comparing the two
and then he says he isnt ..... usual AB thread with the daily non sequiturs and inconsistencies

Case no 2 was convicted, so charges were brought and case No 1 no charges were brought
and that would be, as people so often say, on the facts of the case

and the Dsily Mail - hello AOG are you there ? - often doesnt give us the facts of the case because their job is not to inform us but to sell newspapers to readers who swallow it whole

[ altho allowing a child to be neglected would fit )
There must be a secret school for incompetents somewhere that trains all of these mealy-mouthed useless articles who, when tragedy strikes (again) band together and spout well worn phrases then pop off bck to their desks to check if their wages have been paid into the bank.
I was answering Viv when I said "No....me neither but it's not quite the same as stamping on your toddler."

imo she should have faced punishment but it's simply not in the same category as the latter.
agree doug
would you all it .... AB ?
I can't understand how the woman in case 1 didn't face charges. What the heck is going on there?

And no one has said it is, give me strength.
Maybe they've gone down a proactive route. Counselling, parenting classes or even rehab.

If they've returned the children they wouldn't be perceived to be in danger. I would guess that there is a long list she has to adhere to to keep them....like sending your kids to school EVERYDAY and cleaning the house.
AOG...you posted links to both stories in your OP so why would you expect me, or anyone else, to not think you're comparing them.

Do you know the answer?

Surely There Should Be Some Charges They Could Face?
