My Friend Makes Such A Big Deal Over My Choices Of Cameras, What Should I Do

I run a youtube channel and I have a friend who keeps on bickering on and on about me using a casio camera from 2010. The camera is a casio exilim ex s8 that films in 480p and I use quicktime pro to upconvert my videos to 720HD. My friend thinks that my camera is out of date and is suggesting me to use a sony handycam that films in 1080HD. The problem is that I love my camera and I don't wanna give it up. He keeps on going on and on about this and won't give up. What should I do ? How can I make him stop ? Is it really considered out of date to use a camera that films in 480p in 2016 ?

All the comments on here (expect the one about men preferring Apple - statistically, more women than men buy Apple products) would be relevant, if it wasn't for the fact that you are upscaling and posting on Youtube. It is really annoying to watch a Youtube video that claims to be 720p when in actual fact it's worse quality than 480p (due to the upscaling).
