But in our world, traffic wardens do have to take the abuse they are given without reacting - it is part of their training and remit.
That does not make taking abuse the right thing, but it does make it something they are required to do.

PP...I have been to St Ives loads of times before, and without a doubt the Town does have a serious car congestion problem, and I support all the legal ways that the Council has to deal with the situation.
But I have witnessed many occasions where the Wardens have walked past a locally-owned car, parked illegally, and put a ticket on a non-local car. On one occasion I asked the Wardens why they were ignoring the other car, that had been parked illegally, and was told, rather candidly...."That is how it works Sir ! "
