Bigger tank filling

If my son put a bigger amount of petrol in his car (e.g. 60 litres instead of 30 litres) will this affect the miles he can go before re-filling??

You obviously didn`t think jeffro was serious - nor did I.

Well I guess with 60 litres in the car it is slightly heavier, so he would get less miles per gallon (or kilos per litre) until he has only 30 litres left.

But I would not expect it to be much less.

But this DOES effect Formula 1 cars who have to think very carefully about how much petrol they have in their car before they have a pit stop.  

If your son's a teenager then probably not.

I would hope so.
