think i knew that already. i can't find another 2.3 engine so im trying to find out what other engine will go in it.im blonde but not that blonde

Will the 2.0 or the 2.2 VTEC fit? (The latter is meant to be the best both in terms of power and economy).  I'm not certain, but maybe the Honda main agent can help.   You may be able to find an enthusiasts group on Yahoo  -  there is a CRX group there which may be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi angenie,  well you should be a bit more specific with your question and say why the need, just to replace failed unit or to get more power.   can't anybody local recon the existing unit, it would be a lot easier than all the changes needed to fit a completely different unit.

If your in the UK you will have to be very carefull about the final result for insurance purposes as you give them the slightest excuse and they will drop you in it.

Where I am just now (not UK) this would be no problem as many cars here have got odd engines in and the workmanship is $#@% awfull, wonder they dont fall out sometimes.

thanks andrewlee i'll try them. no one here will fit the vtec(im in uk) the wiring is different.

hi qapmoc im in uk if the head has gone on my car i cant get recon done on it and u cant get used ones over here. I dont have it insured coz its a track car and im desperate to get it on the track thanks for any help given anyway
