I have 4 lights which use these bulbs Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation but 60W. What is the best replacement? The halogen ones are 42W so I`m not sure it`s worth exchanging just to save 18W. I don't like the little floral shape in the LEDs. They need to be visually appealing because they are in clear glass lightshades.

Someone helpful posted the attached link on here that I saved because I'm confused about lightbulbs theses days. It's worth a look especially as 60 watt in the old style does not need 60 watt in the new bulbs to give the same brightness

Thanks for the link. I see a lot of these around in trendy bars etc https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vintage-Light-Bulb-Squirrel-Filament/dp/B00BURGCHW and I like them but not for the house. It might have to be LEDs as I don't have much choice by the look of it

Thanks slackalice. The price of those would negate any power savings I would make. I went for some halogens at Homebase in the end. They are 42W so there is only a small saving but every little helps, as they say
Have a look here, 237 ...............
