I suppose, but a car that has done only 740 miles since MOT last June....should it get waved bye bye in favour of free bus pass and taxis?

You know those little Smart cars, for two people?

The 4 seaters are the same width
I was talking about length but they are only 65 inches wide so there would be bags of room in the drive

the C-Zero is 58 inches wide, less than 5 feet. Electric car, goes less than 100 miles, but you aren't doing big trips anwyway

2 years ago the OH Car did 100 miles between MOTs Baths, she still has it, Independence is more important than reliance, xx
Personally I would recommend getting rid, and spending the money on taxis. Probably cheaper and more convenient. If you get to know your local cabbie, you might have enjoyable conversations on the journeys and help bringing the shopping in.

Hopkirk, what a lovely picture you paint! In reality they sit in their seat, and today was typical, he didn't move a muscle when I was struggling to get out with 2 heavy bags and a stick. ......After I'd shut the door he asked if I needed any help.....

That's disappointing Baths. If you do ever get a helpful driver, ask his name and request him next time. A local small company should be happy to encourage regular custom. Perhaps even have a chat with the proprietor about what you need.

If you didn't have to pay to keep a car on the road you should be able to afford the taxis.
