Lap Top Fan - Is There An App That Can Make It Spin As Fast As Possible At All Times?

My laptop fan is kind of loud and annoying unless it is spinning at top speed.

i usually raise it off a surface by an inch or so, so its usually pretty cool, only ocasionally getting too hot ...but i've noticed (using SpeedFan) that its barely noticable when around 900 rpm.

However because i keep it raised when it goes down to around 600 its annoying and rattley

SpeedFan only lets me monitor it, it doesn't let me force the fan to spin at whatever speed i choose regardless of heat

i have tried to adjust the laptops own settings - no luck

any ideas of some software i can download?

i dont want to have have the laptop overheat just to shut it up! :D

im on a HP pavillion 15 and win 10

Are you sure ? I thought speedfan did allow control.

i cleaned the fan

and yes i thought it would too, thats why i downloaded it, but in the fan control bit there is nothing there to edit or input etc

the 'speeds' and 'fan control' boxes are basically empty.

OG - i dont know if there is another setting i can adjust - there doesnt seem to be many options available on it, that i understand

Perhaps your laptop doesn't monitor/control the fans, no data to show/no setting to set ?

it has a cool sense and other specific fan things, and a setting in the bios is set to always on ... perhaps they are overriding the options in speedfan

ill try turning them off and test it
