That's going to be very interesting, there will be a Driver within the cab, will you feel safe?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.They'll only be there on a trial basis (in 2019) though and it'll be monitored closely. Similar trials in other countries have been promising. They'll presumably need to satisfy the relevant authorities that they have proper controls in place to not put lives of other users at risk, and there will be drivers available in the following cabs.
It'll be interesting to see how it goes. I think as more and more vehicles are self drive it probably will be successful and a sign of the future.

I don't feel safe with driver-driven lorries at present- one ploughed into the back of me years ago and I still get flashbacks whenever a lorry comes close. I think it'll be at least 5-10 years though before it becomes viable. We already have driverless buses in some parts of the US, driverless trains in London and parts of our flight are done on auto pilot
