I used to be a 'trade-plater', delivering vehicles across the country. My licence dates back to 1990 like you, I'm entitled to drive vehicles up to 7.5t. The first truck I ever drove was remarkably similar to the one you've linked to. (It was actually a flatbed, rather than a low-loader but it had a similar long wheelbase). The first thing I had to do was to manoeuvre it out of a congested yard (which was fun in itself) then, after a long motorway drive, I had to get it around some very narrow, and very busy, London streets. On arrival at the auction site I was delivering it to, I had to do an 11-point turn to get into the place, only to be told that it should have gone to their other yard down the road, so that I then had to struggle to get it out again!
However I drove loads of 7.5t trucks after that and I'm sure that you're also entitled to do so.
