I'm thinking of getting a TomTom Go 500. Anyone any advice please?

I have one not sure if its the 500 mine doesn't have europeon maps. I havn't used mine much but when I have and I took the wrong exit off a motorway (my sense of direction is not too good) I pulled over as soon as I could punched in the address and bingo It got me there safely. I do know that they do not always take you on the most direct route but there very reasurring if you're not sure where you are going They have 3 or4 different voices to choose from so its easy on the ear. I got mine from Currys. Not cheap but a neat little gadget
Just bought one recently. Difficult to get discount when buying. All stores (including buying on line) are within a few pence of each other. Decide on what you want. If only mainland Britain dont go for the European maps which are dearer.
Once or twice I seemed to be in a" dead zone " when useing it but not often. I have no regrets buying one and would not now be without it. There are no serious competitors to Tomtom and I would give it a rating of 98 out of a 100 for overall performance.
