Living In A Static My Own Land
2 Answers
Hi so here's a summary we put in for planning for a bungalow knowing if passed we can have a static while building we were positive as we have 3.85acres with horses, rabbits and chickens and a 5 bed triple garage got passed this year down same road
We got refused on the basis that there was no need to build and the road wasn't equipped for more traffic I go to the yard 4 times my partner twice as well as we have had issues with finding fag ends we don't smoke and we've even had horses let out of fields "but we don't need to live here?" Crazy I know how would I stand on pulling a static we can't rent as were paying off the land still and we can't live where we are very soon to over crowding I'm 26weeks preg so we can't afford anywhere so the council would have to house us and there isn't any houses the joke is the council have a project of building affordable houses for young people so why they can't let us build I ha be no idea the land also got refused on being agricultural but we have a letter 1992 of change of use to livery yard we will appeal bit time is against us

Was the '5 bed' on agricultural land?
Land with planning permission for residential use is worth at least
10 x what it is as agricultural land.
You can put a static caravan on the land but without permission for residential use you can not live permanently in it. But you can use it as temporary accommodation while you tend to your animals.
You really do need a professional agent working on getting planning permission not just a post on a web site such as this.

Yes they ripped out polly tunnels to build the house and went from agricultural to just a house I'm more just needing to know that we can have a static on there so I have somewhere warm and dry to sit rather than just hide in a stable which isn't practical once baby arives
