Eleena...it was wonderful and very profitable, which makes it both sad and strange that it closed down in 1972. We lived in the 50's and early 60's in North London and made regular trips on the Metropolitan down to Baker Street. We weren't very wealthy, but Gamages was affordable I guess. I remember having a proper Afternoon Tea in Lyons Corner House before we came home !
