1.Yes
2.No
he should be more worried about these property prices than anything. buy a flat in a tower block pay 1 million for it, not unheard of, then deny you the space for a vehicle, can see that working well...
1. Yes

2. Problematic
yes to both.
1 - yes

2 - don't think that would be popular.
1. Good Idea

2. I would be a pit peeved if i could not park on the road outside of my house

I certainly would think twice about buying a house where street parking was not allowed .
you can;t ban what the parents give their children to eat, but a ban on more fast food outlets, i can see that working perhaps.
pointless, they can have it delivered to the school gate anyway! Ever heard if "just eat"?
sorry second bit yes he's correct but the main problem is that poor people have personal private transport and as such it is too cheap.
we went without a car for several years in London, Bazile. Public transport is very good, though black cabs are way overpriced.

It's only newbuilds. And only in some areas. And consultations haven't even begun.
You keep telling us poor people like you have cars, it's getting a bit like a broken record.
i don't drive but i would be seriously peed off if someone didn't let me have a parking space if i bought a million pound property. London prices are off the scale anyway who can afford a home here.
perhaps mamy but on here I'm proved right every day!
TBH though there is no need for private cars in London full stop.
ttt
what about disabled drivers.
How are you proved right, TTT.
emmie, £1 million won't get you much in London. My place is probably worth that, bog-standard flat in a semi. I certainly wouldn't expect a parking place to go with it, but we can park in the driveway. It's 100 years old so not affected by these proposals.

Car-free estates sound like a good idea. Good for young couples who can manage with public transport, there's plenty of it around. If people don't like them they can go somewhere else and pay more.
There are around 11.9 million disabled people in the UK. Almost 1 in 5 people (19%) in the UK have a disability; this figure has remained relatively constant over time. (12.2 million in ... Midlands have the highest rates of disability, while London, the South ...... disabled drivers in the UK, and around. 400,000 ...
i am fully aware of property prices especially where i live. My 1 million was just a figure. My property is worth more than a million i'm sure...
as i said there are thousands of disabled drivers in the capital, one of them is my neighbour who needs her vehicle come what may.
