saxo headlights

my saxo's headlights are playing up because i can get the small blubs to light (1click on the light swich) bt when i turn them on full i dont get anything. its not the blubs or the fuses because if i flick the beams on to the fog lights they come on so i know the bulbs and the fuses are fine.anyone know what could be wrong?

your main beams being ok doesnt completely rule out your bulbs and fuses because these are different to your dipped beams ( the ones that dont work ) - main and dipped are usually in the same bulb but have two seperate filaments, much like a rear light that doubles as a brake light.

Although the chances of the filaments or fuses being blown on both lights is very slim, check them and if they are ok then the switch is probably at fault.
