If You Are Riding A Motor Bike........................
I've just returned from driving from Dartford to Newport Pagnell and back today and between the South Mimms services on the M25 to the Newport Pagnell turnoff on the M1 the pot holes, particularly in lane 1, are horrendous and in my opinion pose a lethal threat to motorcyclists, especially in the dark.
That's apart from the damage they could cause to car and lorry tyres and suspension.
Just a warning.

Just last week had a push bike hit a pothole (not his fault...guy in a car opened his door without looking) and bike swerved into a pothole. Luckily I was far enough behind not to hit him, but shook me up. BTW, I was in a 32 ton tipper, so no contest as to who would have come off worse!

It is of serious concern now .
I drive along a dual carriageway ( 40 speed limit - so some folk tend to do in excess of that ) on my way to work - the number of potholes both large and small is alarming .
I can't recall a time in the recent past when things were as bad as it is now .
Is it soley the councils responsibility to fill them in and what are they saying about this - does anyone know ?
