Dear Good AB'ers
just replaced a, 12 m2 Dorma Flat Roof - on top of the new felt etc. - 2 coats of bitumen primer and 2 coats of black bitumen - quality makes .. is it worth a final coat of sun reflective ; Aluminium Solar Reflective Paint or a ... Flexible Rubberised Aluminium Roof Coating ( quality makes again ) ? thanks good AB'ers GL.

The Builder

Black, flat roofs can result in quite a considerable solar gain, Graham.
The purpose of reflective coatings is to simply reflect more of the heat and keep solar gain to a minimum.

If the roof structure incorporates a good level of insulation, then I really wouldn't consider this necessary.
